TCN, Turbine Components Network, is formed by four Swiss manufacturers: Franke Industrie, Imbach & Cie, Listemann and Haynes International.
High-tech gas turbine components need a high degree of specialization in different industry fields to be produced. On one side small companies tend to specialize in a specific field and on the other gas turbine manufacturers require the marketplace to supply finished components from a single source.
The four Swiss companies, specialized in different production fields, are co-operating within the Turbine Components Network (TCN). The cooperation starts when a components involves more than one specialization to be completed, the members interested get together to act as a single supplier responding to OEM's request.
Franke Industrie is specialized in servicing the aerospace and gas turbine industry with hot gas path components in stainless steel, high degree alloy and heat resistant metal sheet which is submitted to the cutting (using the water jet process), forming, welding and laser drilling processes. The company has the necessary flexibility to engineer and prototype new components.
Imbach is specialized in metal solutions requiring open die forging, drop forging, ring rolling and machining of metal components in aluminum, copper, nickel, steel and titanium alloys.
Listemann is operating in the heat treatment field. The company has specific competences in vacuum brazing and vacuum heat treatment (annealing/hardening), customize nitriding, debinding and sintering of MIM parts.
Haynes International (Nickel-Contor AG), the Swiss branch of Haynes headquartered in Kokomo, Indiana (USA), has the world's largest inventory of heat- and corrosion-resistant superalloys (Hastelloy, Haynes and Ultimet trade marks).
The four TCN members are all located in the Zurich industrial area and maintain very close personal contacts, each company is reachable in less than one hour drive.
